hell there, i have a large collection of music that i wan to backup to a dvd.
if i were to compress the music into a .rar archive and burn it and in case something bad happens to the dvd like scratches, will rar provide error correction? will i be able to recover my music?

and in nero while burning there's a drop down list showing a list of speeds(6,8,12,16x). how do i force a lower speed for ex: 2x or 4x?
