Halogen is a mod for command and conquer: general : zero hour. It is popular mod. Has the name tells you it is from Halo series but it is Halo RTS. Meaning you can control all the units from Halo series. When the mod popularity grew so much that microsoft was unable to take the preassure and gave them cease and desist letter to shut down all progress of the mod. If they dont take it seriously they would be battling in court and most of them are students and from US and they had to obey the rules.

After the mod closed down. Microsoft, Bungie Studios and Ensemble Studios announced Halo Wars RTS. There is one serious problem with Halo Wars it was not for PC but for X360
