Wel u shud hav a good antivirus installed(but nt necessarily runnin at the time of accesin net.)Use AVAST its free as wel as good.

For firewall use Look'n'Stop (Its the best firewall yes better than Zone alarm.This shud b runnin at the time of net access)

Also i recommend Kaspersky's Anti-Hacker.(This also shud b runnin at the tym of net acces)

Also u shud hav Ad-Aware SE personal(Its anti-Spyware as wel as FREE)

With these 4 programs u r very safe!!!
