First of All Linux is
Open Source Software and
Free Software and this post needs to be in Open Source section .Redhat 9 is quiet old now.get a latest
distro like
debian derivative using superiro
dpkg Ubuntu or
rpm using distros like Fedora,Mandriva etc.
As reg torrent clients there are less resource hogging 20+ clients avail in GNU/Linux like transmission,bittornado-gui,Azureus etc
