Sorry i am unable 2 solve U R problem because I am not a technical GeeK as U .

I think U want SWITCH other and better linux distros --------

Freespire -----Unproblamatic and easy even dialups and winmodems

Mepis is more advaced than freespire ..........

But because of Cable cannection I REcomented UBUNTU ........ it was rocking

IT also give commercial support too .there is a gigantic Ubuntu cammunity there Post a forume there U MUST BE SOLVE THIS PROBE ..........
