Your first point is very valid and I don't know about the second one because I never noticed the memory usage of iTunes when I used to use Windows.
But your third point is what made me speak up. I do not wish to start a debate or anything here but iTunes has a very well integrated and awesome search feature. It searches as-you-type and is instantaneous. Windows Media Player 11 offers similar functionality now so they are both equal in this respect.
