I having problem in playing games like prey , domm 3 (i.e the games uses open GL)

after playing for abt 10 to 15 min
i getting an error "visual c++ runtime error"
and game crashes to desktop

how can i play this games ????

my config
amd athlon 64 2800+
mother board gigabyte k8vm800
trensend 1 gb ram
seagate 120gb hard disk and hitachi 250gb hard disk
xfx 6600 gt agp graphics card
