I too am apprehensive about getting a monitor like this since the max I can buy for GPU is HD4770 and I may have to game with a 1 inch thick black bar border if you know what I mean

But I am still inclined towards getting myself a 1080p 21.5" Monitor. At 10K and 40W, samsung is a steal.
