I don't think socket 939 based processors are available in the market.

You cannot use socket am2 or am2+ or am3 processors on your board Asus A8N-E. You should change mobo,cpu and ram to upgrade.

What is your full config and how much money can you spend on upgrade.

I have AMD 3000+ processor which I overclocked to 2.25GHz and using HD2600XT and am able to run latest games at decent resolution.
