Rather buy Nokia-6021 for rs800 more
You will get
EDGE --> Thereby you can have 3 times the speed
Bluetooth --> Data t/f between PC n Phone will be fast.

Man you are very confused here
... might be bcoz new to this GPRS thing
no problem
... let me clear this stuff for you ...
>>There are two tyes of settings provided by GSM operaters for GPRS
1. AirTel World / Hutch World
2. MOBILE OFFICE
Airtel World is for Downloading wallpaper/ringtones
Mobile Office is for using Internet.(Ph must have a modem)
One is for with in the phone,
the other is for PC
If you want to use ur phone for surfing on PC
then use it as a modem
e.g. ... you must have seen people using the Reliance phones
through R-Connect service.
Its the same service for CDMA users.

Oh.. man There is nothing like legal or Illegal in this..
See ... if its for Wap
then they must be giving you only AirTel World service
for within the phone
Moblie Office --> Is For Surfing Internet
If you have subscribed to GPRS
for Rs.500 normaly ...
you can surely use it on your PC.
On EDGE you can get 3 times the speed,
But its phone & network dependent.
Airtel is good .. & it provides unlimited data transfer.
This must have cleared your many doubts
Cheers
