Amkette has launched its Flash TV HD media player in India, pricing it at Rs. 3,995. A full 1080p HD video player, the price surprisingly includes a free HDMI cable worth Rs. 499. The Amkette Flash TV HD player supports a variety of audio, video and image types, including Blu-ray formats.
The Amkette Flash TV HD media player supports DTS and 7.1 channel Dolby digital surround sound. The player has a photo-viewing mode, which creates an audio-visual with music. It has some good built-in features, such as auto SD-to-HD upscaling, smart navigation, playlist creation and power resume. It also supports external USB CD/DVD drives.
The media player is available at over 6000 retail outlets in the country, as well as such major retailers as e-Zone, Hypercity, and Landmark.
