Transcend has launched a high-performance external hard drive in India yesterday, called the Transcend StoreJet 35T. Offering 1 terabyte and 1.5 terabyte variants, the Transcend StoreJet 35T gives users a host of convenient features, such as its Turbo HDD USB transfer mode, One Touch auto-backup button, 2 years product warranty, Windows 7 certification, and hidh data-transfer performance with writing speeds of nearly 42 MB per second.

Stylishly designed, the Transcend StoreJet 35T is compact at just 3.5 inches – “the size of a hardback book” , and has an LED that will change colour from green to bright blue to indicate the drive’s current speed status. Users will also receive bundled software with their purchase, called StoreJet Elite, which offers advanced 256-bit AES file and folder encryption with compression options to maximize the storage space and protect data at simultaneously. Transcend has also tried to make the Transcend StoreJet 35T as eco -friendly as possible - it is designed to automatically go into power-saving sleep mode after ten minutes of inactivity, which according to the company will allow energy-savings of up to 67%.

The Transcend StoreJet 35T will retail at Rs. 14,000.
