The eco-friendly ViewSonic VA2431wm monitor is now available in India through Rashi Peripherals, priced at Rs. 11,500. Bearing a 23.6-inch display, the full HD monitor has a 1920x1080 resolution in a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. It has a dynamic contrast ratio of 100,000:1, and boasts of a 5ms response time, as well as 2x2-watt integrated speakers.
The VA 2431wm is energy efficient, with ViewSonic promising nearly 40% power savings. It’s also Energy Star 5.0 and EPEAT-Silver certified, and has an optimized eco mode as well. Typical consumption is rated at around 50W, while Eco-mode will offer 31W – dropping to less than a 1W in standby.
It sports both DVI and VGA inputs, a 3.5mm stereo line-out, and has a 100x100mm VESA mount. It also has an automatic aspect ratio adjustment, e.g., switches to 4:3 based on the signal. The viewing angles range from 170 degrees horizontal, to 160 degrees vertical.
It comes with 3 years on site warranty.
