With a blazing 120 Hz refresh rate and a 23.6-inch display, Acer’s new GD235HZ LCD panel is ready to bring a fully immersive stereoscopic 3D experience to your home, when coupled with NVIDIA’s proprietary 3D Vision system. This 3D technology support is already available from Acer on their Acer Aspire AS5738DG-6165 TriDef 3D Notebook. The Acer GD235HZ LCD will retail at approximately $400, and has an 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 1000:1 native contrast ratio, a native resolution of 1980x1080, and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Fitted with one HDMI, DVI, and VGA input each, the display also features a response time of 2 milliseconds (GTG), and a pixel pitch of 0.2715mm. The monitor also features a Kensington Lock Slot, and is available in black and orange chassis colours.

Acer GD235HZ LCD is a 120Hz panel that supports NVIDIA 3D Vision

NVIDIA’s 3D Vision requires the 3D Vision Kit (retailing with active-shutter glasses and software), a 3D Vision ready monitor (120 Hz refresh rate), a compatible NVIDIA graphics card, and Windows Vista/7. With this combination, gamers can enjoy a full-stereoscopic 3D experience on hundreds of automatically-3D-transformed (done by 3D Vision software) PC games, and even a variety of movies and digital photographs. Other monitors to support NVIDIA’s 3D Vision are Acer’s GD245HQ LCD (featuring D-Sub input and will retail at approximately $475) and the 23-inch Alienware OptX™ AW2310 3D Full HD Widescreen (starting at $499, though it has a 3 millisecond response time). Both the Acer GD245HQ LCD & the Acer GD235HZ LCD displays are currently not for sale online yet, but keep your eyes peeled.
