Fly is trying to create a niche for itself in the Indian market. It has delivered some low- to mid-budget dual-SIM phones which, surprisingly, have performed well in the markets out here. Prem Kumar, CEO, Fly Mobile (India Operations) stated, “Fly is dedicated to bring into existence technologically advanced products and taking into account the high quality preferences along with the pockets of the customers. It has launched another sleek Dual SIM phone named the Fly V-180 DS. What may work against (or maybe for) the phone is the fact that it has gone with GSM+GSM combination instead of the CDMA+GSM combination.

The Fly V180 DS dual sim mobile phone for Rs 2539

The handset is a light and slim device weighing just over 90 grams with its dimensions of 107 x 44.6x 14 mm. The Fly V-180 DS boasts of a 1.8 inch TFT screen with 65k colors with 128 x 160 pixels resolution. It comes with a very low internal memory of just about 250 KB but it has an expandable memory up to 4 GB with Micro SD card slot. It has a basic VGA camera which supports video recording. It supports wireless FM with scheduled recording. As for connectivity, Fly has incorporated Bluetooth and USB in this device. It is also capable of running PDF files on the in built e-book reader. .It also has a MP3 player rounding it off as a basic multimedia phone. To support this it has a 1200 mAh battery which allows the phone nine hours of talk time and 260 hours of stand-by. It also has some unique features like torch and Hindi language support which are typical of any mobile phone in the low budget range. It also supports MMS / WAP/ GPRS and for the extra cautious, it has an in-built mobile tracker.

We don’t know if it’s a performer or not but it certainly hits the target with its pricing of just Rs. 2,539 making it an attractive product for people looking for mobile phones in the low budget range.

Well, all that is cool...but micromax has even better phones...for under 2500...check out the X225....and then it also has 8GB extendable through a MicroSD slot....and the X250 is ok too. Only problem with having a CDMA +GSM is some judgment in Madurai High Court, some guy had an existing patent in India for Multi SIM (CDMA+GSM) and the court barred Samsung from producing the same in India...Sad isn't it?? Correct me if there's some error in whatever i said. But i have seen a couple of CDMA +GSM pieces in a few manufacturers, like Karbonn.
