Nokia 808 PureView launching in India on June 13?
Nokia's much-hyped 41MP camera phone, 808 PureView, is reportedly launching in India on June 13. The device was previously rumoured to launch on June 6 after Nokia put up a countdown promo on its PureView website. The PureView is up for pre-orders at online shopping site, buytheprice, for Rs. 32,000. Nokia has also started taking pre-oreders for the device.
To refresh your memory, the Nokia 808 PureView was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress event held earlier this year. The device sports a humongous 41MP sensor, which comes with high-performance Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology. The PureView is powered by a single-core 1.3GHz processor. Other specifications of the Nokia 808 PureView are 512MB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage, USB-on-the-Go, Bluetooth 3.0, HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps, Wi-Fi N with DLNA, GPS and A-GPS, stereo FM radio, and NFC connectivity. The Nokia 808 PureView has been in news for quite some time, especially regarding its pricing. Few weeks ago, an image surfaced of a source page revealing the price of the device as Rs. 29,999. Nokia, however, turned down the pricing rumours, and categorically said the price will be announced only at the launch. Later, online shopping site, buytheprice, listed the device at Rs. 32,000.
The device was earlier speculated to launch on June 6 after Nokia started a countdown on its PureView website. Evidently, that never happened. The website currently runs contests. We had contacted Nokia India via Facebook to inquire about the launch. Without revealing any concrete information, Nokia promised to “keep us posted”.

Nokia's countdown promo for 808 PureView ends up being a no show
While announcing the PureView, Nokia had said India will be among first nations to see the availability of the device. Nokia apparently hasn't lived up to its word. The Finnish company last week launched the device in Indonesia.
