Ever since the release of the Android, people have eagerly been awaiting for new smart phones that run the OS. Now Motorola has jumped onto the bandwagon with its new Android phone, Cliq.

The new Android phone comes with the usual connectivity options one would expect from a smartphone today, such as 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.0. As with most recent smartphones, it comes overloaded with sensors, an accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, etc. The phone features a 3.1” touchscreen with a 320x480 resolution, a 5MP camera, and a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard. The phone will come preinstalled with a 2GB microSD card with support for up to 32GB.

The phone runs Android 1.5, or as it’s more affectionately known, ‘Cupcake’, and features a custom UI much that Motorola calls “MotoBlur”. Social Networking is the heart of the device, and it comes with integrated support for most major social networks. It aggregates all of your social information and updates into a unified interface, your Facebook, MySpace, Twitter accounts are accessible right from the home screen. You can snap geo-tagged shots with your phone camera, and directly upload them to photo sharing sites such as PhotoBucket, and Picasa, or record videos and upload to YouTube. Your phone contacts can be synchronized with Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. Social networking is now just a Cliq away!
The phone will come in two colours Titanium, Winter White and will be available “later this fall” exclusively with T-Mobile.
