Motorola announces a desktop replacement 2GHz superphone for later this year

Motorola Co-CEO (Chief Executive of Consumer Business and Mobile Devices) Sanjay Jha announced the next generation of superphones at a recent company presentation at The Global Leaders Luncheon. At 2GHz, the new Motorola phone will be way ahead of the current superphones, including HTC’s upcoming 1.5GHz Scorpion.

Sanjay Jha went on to say that the phone will release later this year and will be "an evolutionary step above the current 1GHz Snapdragon chip", so much so that companies might start thinking about providing superphones instead of workstations to their employees in the future.
