Leaked Samsung Galaxy S IV image does the rounds; Q1 launch rumouredWith MWC 2013 just a month away, the Internet is buzzing with rumours and leaks about the next-gen phone from Samsung, the Galaxy S IV, and now, we've been given a glimpse at what it might look like.
Leaked images have started popping up on the Internet which suggest what the next generation Samsung flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S IV may look like. One look at the image and you can be forgiven for thinking that it is the iPhone 5. It has the same bezel design along with the wider display. Wonder if this design will lead to another lawsuit?
As you can see from the image, the purported Galaxy S IV has no physical home button, thought we suspect that it does have the capacitive buttons below the display. From the image it seems clear that the right of the device has the power button whereas the left houses the volume rocker.
The reports that the Samsung Galaxy S IV may launch as soon as April come from the Korean website, enuri.com. Other rumours on the Internet suggest that the device may launch as early as March 2013. Rumoured specifications of the device suggest that it will boast of a 5-inch display with full HD (1920x1080 pixel) resolution.
There are also talks of 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera on the Galaxy S IV. The front-facing camera can clearly be seen in the image. The device is expected to run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and be powered by a quad-core Exynos 5440 chip manufactured using 28nm high-K metal gate technology.
We also hope that Samsung takes a leaf out of HTC devices and makes the build of the S IV better than the S III. From the leaked image, the front of the device does seem elegantly designed and nothing can be said about the rear, as we still haven’t seen it. The S III is one of the best smartphones available in the market today that money can buy, but it does have a rather plasticky build to it, compared to other top-end devices. You can read our review of the Samsung Galaxy S III here. Other rumours suggest that the S IV will also have support for the S-Pen currently available on Samsung’s Note devices.Source: SamMobile
