LG has unveiled four new Android phones in separate announcements – the Optimus L3, L5 and L7, and Optimus 3D Max or Optimus 3D Cube. Details of all four devices will be fully revealed at MWC 2012. Little is known about the first three LG devices for now, apart from a few key features, and rough availability details. More details about the LG 3D Max were revealed.

To begin with, the siblings LG Optimus L3, L5 and L7 all look similar with their metal bodies and textured finishes, and feature a “floating mass display” that sits very close to the screen. The L3 features a 3.2-inch display, and will launch in Europe with Gingerbread onboard, this March – an ICS update will apparently follow soon. The LG Optimus L5 bears a 4-inch display, while the Optimus L7 bears a 4.3-inch display. Both devices are expected to launch in Europe in the first half of 2012, with Android 4.0 ICS onboard.

The difference between the Optimus 3D Max and 3D Cube seems to be in the 4.3-inch autostereoscopic (800x480) displays, with a LCD display for the Max, and a NOVA display for the Cube. The amount of built-in storage also differs, with 8GB and 16GB respectively. 

The LG Optimus 3D Cube or Optimus 3D Max will have a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, dual 5MP rear autofocus cameras, HSPA+ 21Mbps, HDMI connection 2D/3D TV/monitor up to 1080p via MHL, DNLA for wireless connection with TV/PC (3D video also supported), a 1,520 mAh battery, and NFC connectivity (with LG Tag+) in common.

The Optimus 3D Max or 3D Cube will launch in the beginning of March, with Android 2.3 Gingerbread onboard – an ICS update has been announced shortly after launch. They Cube weighs in at 148 grams, and is just 9.6 mm thick.
