The all new Olive Zipbook measures 265x185x25mm, weighs 1.2kg, and features the new Intel Pentium N450 1.6GHz processor, a 10.2-inch screen with a 1024x600 pixel resolution, Integrated Gen3.5 GFX Core graphics, 1GB RAM, 2.5-inch 160GB 5,400rpm SATA drive, 82 key keyboard, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth v2.0, a 1.3MP webcam, 3-in-1 memory card (SD/MS/MMC) reader, integrated speakers and mic, and an integrated 3G modem. It is available in four colours, namely Lamborghini Yellow, Wine Red, Apple White, and Jet Black.
The Olive Zipbook features a 2,000 mAh 3-cell battery that will supposedly provide 3 hours of backup. Users requiring more battery life can choose the optional 4,400 mAh 6-cell battery pack, which will extend the battery life to 6 hours. The Zipbook will come preloaded with Windows 7 Starter Edition complete with Windows Works, Live, and Security Essentials, all at a rather affordable price (if you consider the advantages of 3G wireless connectivity, of course) of Rs. 20,999.
The Olive Zipbook is intended to give to users “not only the ideal mobile broadband experience as the technology is expected to deliver, but also a versatile and powerful computing machine.”
The BSNL bundled package comes with 6GB/month free, for the first three months.
