Google doodle celebrates 155th birthday of Heinrich Hertz

Google doodle today celebrates 155th birth anniversary of German physicist Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, whose experiments led to the development of radio and the wireless telegraph. Hertz’s contributions helped development of TV, radio and radar. In honour of his notable contributions, unit of frequency has been named after him – Hertz. The German physicist is also known for practically presenting Maxwell’s theories and was the first one to make electric and magnetic fields come off from wires and then moving as Maxwell waves.
Today’s doodle features radio waves in red, blue, green and blue colours. Upon clicking, the doodle directs users to search result page for Heinrich Rudolf Hertz. Unlike the conventional static Google doodles, the Hertz doodle is a dynamic one. Google had celebrated birth anniversaries of Les Paul and Freddie Mercury with dynamic doodles.
Over the years, Google has swapped its logo with a doodle on a number of occasions. The Google doodles have gained massive popularity among users because of its artistic take on the Google logo. Google has come up with some really innovative doodles to mark several international events ranging from birthdays to important dates in history.
