At Rs 950, it is one of the cheaper system security applications. It isn't as complete as the security suites, but for what it does, it makes pretty good sense. The usage could have been more automated without you having to set all the options and settings yourself.

Backup, restore and protect
Stellar, a company known for data recovery software and services has made a product for the home users. It has been called Black Cat and is a data backup and recovery software along with an antivirus from K7.
The two software come in two separate CDs. Installation is simple and there is help provided for each one.
Stellar Shield is the major part of the suite handles and creates backups of files on the hard drive. You can select from presets for files and folders of different priorities. In the same place, schedules can be created for these backups. A password lock is provided for security sake. Backups can be restored using an application called Deleted File Recovery Tool. A rescue disk feature lets users create a bootable floppy for data recovery purposes. It acts like a viewer for opening disc images and users can choose which files and folders to extract.
The antivirus is simple and is like any other antivirus software. The interface isn’t all that great, but you should be able to find your way around. Feature- wise, it takes care of viruses and spyware. There is no firewall component in this suite. The Stellar Shield application is a little more confusing and everything has to be done manually. Plenty of documentation is provided for both software.
