NASSCOM appoints Kamlesh Bajaj as CEO
NASSCOM announced the appointment of Dr. Kamlesh Bajaj as CEO, DSCI and as the head of its security initiatives
NASSCOM, the premier trade body and ‘voice’ of the Indian IT-BPO industry, announced the appointment of Dr. Kamlesh Bajaj as CEO, DSCI and as the head of its security initiatives. In addition to assuming the office of the CEO of DSCI, Dr. Bajaj will be responsible for providing direction to NASSCOM’s ongoing security initiatives and activities.
Dr. Bajaj will be based in the New Delhi office of the DSCI. NASSCOM had earlier announced the appointment of Shyamal Ghosh as the Chairman for the DSCI.
DSCI, operating under the aegis of NASSCOM at an arm’s length is a self regulatory initiative in data security and privacy protection. It is envisaged as a credible and committed body to uphold a high level of data privacy and security standards.
Announcing his appointment, Som Mittal, President, NASSCOM said “we are delighted to announce Dr. Bajaj’s appointment as part of NASSCOM, and DCSI. His rich experience will add immense value to this effort by NASSCOM and the industry. The DSCI has covered considerable ground since its inception and we see Dr. Bajaj’s experience contributing significantly to taking this to the next level, as the organisation grows and takes up additional initiatives and responsibilities”.
