Laserfiche announces the release of Laserfiche 8, its most flexible and scalable solution ever
Laserfiche, a provider of digital document and records management systems, announces the release of Laserfiche 8, its most flexible and scalable solution ever. The company’s goal for Laserfiche 8 is simple: to help organizations streamline business processes by speeding the flow of information across the enterprise.
“Laserfiche 8 gives us everything we need—particularly the new workflow tools—to expand our paperless initiative into additional departments,” said Denise Grossmann of Blue Earth County, MN, a Laserfiche client since 2002. “The interface is even easier to use, and the new features will really complement what we’re doing in Microsoft SharePoint.”
Among other enhancements, Laserfiche 8 features a redesigned business automation module that’s built on the Windows Workflow Foundation engine. Greater interoperability with Office applications—particularly SharePoint—helps organizations unify content that’s currently stored in disparate systems and formats. And an enhanced system architecture simplifies firewall configuration and improves performance over wide-area networks.
“Laserfiche has always been a strong search and retrieval system, and Laserfiche 8 extends these strengths to business process automation,” said Laserfiche CEO Nien-Ling Wacker. “I firmly believe that Laserfiche 8 will help Microsoft-driven organizations shine.”
