Britney Tops Virus Charts
Spanish anti-virus firm Panda Software has produced a ranking of famous people's names used most often to spread viruses. As an indicator of her enduring popularity, pop star and reality show vixen Britney Spears' name is used more often than that of anyone else.

Panda Software says most virus creators employ the names of good-looking women celebrities or other famous people with which to send their infected messages. Names often used included Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Bill Gates, and Osama bin Laden.

A recent ploy used to pass along various infected messages rumoured that Michael Jackson had attempted suicide.

The top ten names on the Panda Spam list are Britney Spears, Bill Gates, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Osama Bin Laden, Michael Jackson, Bill Clinton, Anna Kournikova, Paris Hilton, and Pamela Anderson.

Virus writers use such names to entice users into clicking Web links or open up files that infect their computers, said Patrick Hinojosa, CTO at Panda Software's US subsidiary. "It's a method of social engineering," he said. "A lot of the time it has to do with the timeliness of a current news event."

Someone seems to have discovered and unlocked unused code in the game GTA San Andreas. Apparently, in the 'hot coffee' mod of the game, apart from driving and shooting people, you have to keep your girlfriends satisfied with your performance. It seems when you drop in for coffee at your girlfriends' homes, you can 'do' them in a number of positions.

A site, gtasanandreas. net, is hosting a video clip of steamy scenes that it says come from the PS2 version of the game.

Blogging Goes Naked

Singapore frowns upon anything vaguely pornographic, but most laws are for print and video- the Internet is still a grey area. And it's in Singapore that sexy 19-year-old 'Sarong Party Girl' has hosted her blog, posting nude pictures of herself on it.

The site is sexually explicit, with the first few words on the main page going "Size does matter..."

Foreigners, too, are discussing the blog, which details Sarong Party Girl's life and sexual escapades. But Lee Kin Mun, who writes under the moniker Mr Brown, said the online outcry put "unnecessary focus" on what the girl did.

"The general response from the blogging community is, 'What's the big deal? What's all this fuss over a pair of Singapore breasts?'"

EMediaWire, a free online press release service, reports that Aishwarya Rai is the most popular Indian celebrity online.

In the latest results posted by desifans.com, an Internet popularity engine for Indian celebrities, Aishwarya Rai led the race with 90 points. Shah Rukh Khan came second with 24, followed by Salman Khan at 20, Kareena Kapoor at 16, and Rani Mukherjee at 15.
