Google Maps game coming to Google+

Online games such as CityVille and FarmVille had played a pivotal role in boosting the popularity of Facebook. Now it looks like Google is also going the same way, as the Internet company plans to push gaming on its social networking site, Google+. According to reports, Google is prepping an interactive game, Play Your World, which will be based on the indoor and outdoor maps of its Google Maps service. The new Google+ game resembles Labyrinth/Marble Madness games, where users guide the ball to the end of the maze without letting it fall into any of the holes.
The game is likely to be launched on Google+ games in February 2012. The new Google+ games are likely to help promote Google’s new mapping services such as indoor maps, customised Google Maps and map editing. “Coming soon, play your world like never before with a game from the Google Maps team on Google+ Games powered by WebGL,” reads the video description.
It's notable that Play Your World is not the first game based on Google Maps. Tom Scott’s Real World Racer and Place Spotting are some games based on Google Maps.
