CES 2013: Corsair fires a volley of new gaming gearCorsair introduces the new Vengeance K95 Gaming Keyboard. The new keyboard has a wicked new look, with black anodized aluminum construction and white LED lighting
Last year, Corsair, a company known for gaming PC parts and components, got into the peripheral market with a bang, launching top-rated keyboards and gaming mice. Now, Corsair is reasserting its dominant position in the gaming arena, unveiling the newest models in its successful Vengeance peripheral line. It is also introducing an affordable second line of peripherals, the aggressively named (and aggressively priced) Raptor series.
Following up the top-rated Vengeance keyboards—like the Editors' Choice Corsair Vengeance K90 —Corsair introduces the new Vengeance K95 Gaming Keyboard. The new keyboard has a wicked new look, with black anodized aluminum construction and white LED lighting. It's also getting a number of hardware improvements, like individual key backlighting and customization, and function keys, which used silicone dome switches on the Vengeance K90, have been upgraded to Cherry MX Red switches. Carried over from the last iteration are features like 18 programmable macro keys, onboard memory for storing multiple custom profiles, full anti-ghosting and 20-key rollover.
The Vengeance series is also getting a two new gaming mice, the Vengeance M95 and M65 for MMO lovers and FPS gamers, respectively. The aluminum framed gaming mice feature the same designs seen in the Corsair Vengeance M60, but have been upgraded with high precision button switches and 8200 DPI laser sensors, making for faster, more accurate gaming control. Both mice also feature on-the-fly resolution adjustment, lift detection to reduce sensor errors, high-mass scroll wheels for optimum precision, and PTFE glide pads.
The Vengeance M95, made for MMO gaming, is studded with 15 programmable buttons, and has on-board memory for storing up to six different swappable profiles. The included utility software lets you program macro keys, adjust sensor settings, and manage onboard profiles. The Vengeance M95 is available in Gunmetal Black and Arctic White.
The FPS-friendly Vengeance M65 features a Sniper button for instant switching between fast-moving high-DPI settings and tight low-DPI settings better suited to precision sniping. The aluminum unibody frame also has an adjustable center of gravity for balancing the mouse to individual preference. The Vengeance M65 comes in three colors, Military Green, Arctic White, and Gunmetal Black.
The Corsair Vengeance K95 gaming keyboard will be available in early spring, selling for $149.99. The Vengeance M95 and M65 gaming mice are available for order now, for $79.99 and $69.99, respectively.
