Fujifilm reveals flood of FinePix cameras, and the X-S1 hybrid DSLR

Fujifilm has announced a long list of new cameras ahead of CES, with one new hybrid DSLR, ten new FinePix, and eight new FinePix superzoom offerings, ranging in price from $99 to $1090.
Most of the new FinePix cameras are available in 16MP and 14MP pairs that share most other features, with the slim FinePix JX580 ($119) and JX500 ($99), the FinePix JZ250 ($149) and JZ100 ($129), the T400 ($179) and T350 ($159), and the rugged FinePix XP150 ($279) and XP100 ($259). Making up the ten, are the slim 16MP AX550 and the rugged 14MP XP50 ($199). Highlights of the lot include 10x optical zoom on some cameras, intelligent flash, dual image stabilization tracking autofocus, scene recognition auto, face detection, and Motion Panorama Mode on others, as well as the shockproof, freezeproof, dustproof and waterproof designs of the XP series.
As for the FinePix superzoom category, Fujifilm has updated its F, S and HS lines, with the 16MP and 20x optical zoom FinePix F770EXR ($380) and F750EXR ($350), the 16MP and 15x zoom F660EXR ($280), the 14MP CCD sensor and 30x FinePix SL300 ($300) and S4500 ($260), the 14MP CCD sensor and 24x zoom S4200 ($230), as well as the 16MP half-inch CMOS sensor and 30x zoom FinePix HS30EXR ($500) and HS25EXR ($400).
Finally, we come to Fujifilm's latest X-series camera, the Fujifilm X-S1 that’s expected to be priced around $800 when it begins to ship at the end of the month. Featuring a fixed 26x manual zoom lens with a 24-624mm range, and a variable maximum aperture of f/2.8-5.6, the Fujifilm X-S1 has a 2/3-inch 12 megapixel EXR CMOS sensor. The Fujinon lens also features a Super Macro Mode, enabling shots of objects just 1 centimetre away. The X-SI has both a 1.4M-dot 0.47-inch electronic viewfinder (EVF), and a 460K-dot tilting LCD. 1080p HD video recording is possible, as well as a 7 fps full-res high-speed mode for still images. The ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 to 3,200.
